Back Care Beds - 3-D modelling, rendering, and mechanical animations

Based in London, Back Care Beds specialise in the manufacture of adjustable beds for both the public and medical sectors. This project was commissioned for their upcoming website update, due for launch in 2021.
To allow for a realistic and live-updating render of their customisable bed range, each of the company's frames, mattresses, fabrics, headboards, and accessories required meticulous modelling and rendering in 3-D. These renders can be arranged to accurately portray every one of the 23,040 possible combinations that the company's beds can be ordered in.

The project also entailed the precise animation of each of the company's adjustable mechanisms. Due to national Covid-19 restrictions, I needed to achieve an accurate and realistic movement largely using reference from photographs, videos, and the product information available online. Despite these limitations, I achieved a level of realism that a mechanism to be built from my 3-D model would be fully functional.
