The Cost of Living - Poster Design

Starring Lily Loveless and Genesis Lynea, 'The Cost of Living' is a captivating, comedy-noir short by London-based filmmaker, Alice Trueman. The film has been selected to premier at the 2021 BFI Flare Festival.
Designed for Vault Films and the British Film Institute, the poster needed to communicate the film’s genre as well as the tension between its two main characters. A specific photoshoot was not possible due to Covid-19 restrictions, so stills from the film were composited to achieve this in the final design. Also required was a simple animation of the title text for inclusion in the film.
